Andy Toniacao of the Gealon Racing Team (GRT) triumphed in the 80KM trail run in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, setting a new record time and outpacing dozens of seasoned ultramarathoners.
Toniacao completed the arduous course in 14 hours, demonstrating remarkable stamina, strength, and skill.
He maintained a strong pace from the start, navigating the sharp, steep inclines of the mountainous terrain despite extreme heat and humidity.
Overcoming threats of dehydration and exhaustion, he secured a decisive victory.
GRT Team Manager Rey Gealon praised Toniacao’s outstanding performance and expressed gratitude for the athlete’s safety and success.
“We thank God for the blessings of victory and safety for all GRT athletes,” Gealon said.
