The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) has recently unveiled a new cafe at SM Seaside City Cebu, marking the latest milestone in its significant expansion with SM Store.
Located in the women’s section of SM Store, this new cafe is part of a broader initiative to open 53 additional CBTL locations across SM Store branches by 2026, bringing the total number of in-store cafes to 78 nationwide.
Since the collaboration began with the opening of the first cafe at SM Store North Edsa in December 2022, the partnership has flourished, with 26 cafes now operating in key locations like North Edsa, Megamall, and Southmall.
In Cebu, CBTL and SM Store plan to open two more cafes this month at SM City Consolacion and SM City Cebu, further strengthening their presence in the region.
“Our goal is to have CBTL cafes across all SM Stores in every SM branch to enhance the overall customer experience,” said Erich Lim, AVP Operations Visayas, SM Store. Lim also highlighted that the partnership aims to create welcoming spaces where customers can relax and enjoy themselves while their partners shop.
The new cafes will also offer exclusive discounts to SM Advantage Card (SMAC) holders, adding further value to the shopping experience.
