The SM2SM Run, one of Cebu’s most widely celebrated running events, is set to return on March 9, 2025, promising thousands of participants a day of fitness, fun, and camaraderie.
Organizers have introduced a major incentive this year: one lucky runner will drive away with a BYD Seal 5 DMi Dynamic electric car in the event’s grand raffle.
Event categories span 4K, 8K, 12K, and 21K, catering to both seasoned athletes and newcomers.
Registration, which closes on February 23, 2025, is open at SM Seaside (Upper Ground Level, Seaview Wing near Cibo), SM City Cebu (Lower Ground Level, Main Mall), and SM J Mall (Second Level, beside @Tokyo).
Fees range from ₱600 for the 4K category to ₱1,400 for the 21K, with discounted rates available for groups, students, and persons with disabilities. Runners under 18 must submit a parental consent form upon signing up.
Race day will begin in the early hours to help participants beat Cebu’s tropical heat. The 21K kicks off at 2:00 AM, followed by the 12K at 4:00 AM, the 8K at 5:30 AM, and the 4K at 7:00 AM.
Organizers recommend arriving early for warm-ups and final preparations. SM2SM Run, renowned for its festive atmosphere, is set to feature live entertainment, sponsor exhibits, and on-site refreshments to keep runners energized and engaged.
