The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), the ruling political party of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., has officially endorsed Yogi Filemon Ruiz for Cebu City Mayor, marking a significant moment in the political landscape of the city.
The endorsement was announced during the “BAG-O NA PUD! A Call-for-Change Movement” event along N. Bacalso Street, drawing thousands of Cebuanos eager for new leadership.
PFP National President Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. led the endorsement, citing Ruiz’s proven leadership, discipline, and dedication to public service as key reasons for the party’s support.
“Cebu City deserves a leader who does not just promise change but delivers real results. Yogi Ruiz has the experience, the vision, and the integrity to lead the city towards a brighter future,” Tamayo said to an electrified crowd.
Ruiz, who is running under Partido Cebuano, has gained strong grassroots support, particularly from sectors that have long been underserved, including vendors, students, workers, seniors, and women.
