Chek Technologies Inc, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup led by two Cebuano teenage entrepreneurs, aims to disrupt traditional logistics and enterprise systems by harnessing the power of AI.
Founded by Christiansen Q. Hermosilla at the age of 15, the startup has developed a multi-purpose platform, Intelogistik, which offers both SaaS and enterprise-level AI solutions.
The flagship product integrates warehouse management, HR, communications, and real-time data analytics into a single interface. The platform can parse and standardize information across diverse Excel templates, a common pain point for logistics firms managing multiple clients.
Hermosilla is the company’s chief technical officer while Ellieken D. Lim, whose family operates one of the country’s largest logistics companies, is chief operations officer.

“Our vision is to be the first name that comes to mind when people talk about AI in the Philippines,” Hermosilla said. “We want to make everything a lot faster and more efficient, especially because we see a major disconnect in the technology currently being used in many enterprises.”
Hermosilla said many businesses in the country still rely on legacy systems that are no longer fit for purpose, and that the startup’s mission is to provide modern, scalable alternatives.
“We’re not just building a company for one sector,” the founder said. “We want to affect a lot of industries and bring real, measurable improvements through AI.”

The startup’s journey began unconventionally. What started as a potential sports bar concept quickly pivoted into a technology venture driven by a deep understanding of operational inefficiencies.
Hermosilla, a young programmer with roots in game development and a family of educators, recognized the critical need for technological intervention in logistics and supply chain management.
Intelogistik isn’t just another software solution, he said. It’s a comprehensive ecosystem that addresses multiple pain points for logistics companies.
In a recent demonstration, the startup founders showcased how their system dramatically transformed inventory management for a local logistics firm.
For instance, the client’s inventory system revealed a massive discrepancy: while their records showed 50 million units in stock, a comprehensive scan discovered only 23 million actual units—a 30 million unit difference that could have devastating financial implications.
“Traditional warehouse management systems lack transparency,” explains Hermosilla. “We’ve developed an AI-powered solution that provides real-time, granular visibility into inventory movement, location tracking, and potential optimization opportunities.”

The platform’s most revolutionary feature is its ability to parse diverse data templates automatically.
Where traditional systems require manual coding for each client’s unique Excel format, Intelogistik’s AI can instantly extract and standardize information across multiple client templates.
Data privacy remains a critical concern but Hermosilla and Lim said they have implemented robust encryption protocols. Enterprise clients can also choose between using the company’s cloud infrastructure or maintaining their own database while leveraging Intelogistik’s algorithms.
“We’re a cloud provider, but we understand that data privacy and control are critical,” Hermosilla said. “Enterprise clients use our algorithms while hosting their own databases. The data remains encrypted throughout and is only decrypted when it reaches their systems.”
For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which may lack the infrastructure to maintain their own secure servers, Chek Technologies offers a subscription-based model. In this setup, data is stored on the startup’s cloud infrastructure but remains encrypted and inaccessible to the company.
“We don’t view or access SME data—it stays encrypted in our databases,” the founders said. “We’re bridging a technology gap for SMEs by giving them access to high-performance cloud systems without compromising data security.”
The startup’s current focus is on creating systems so user-friendly that minimal intervention is needed.
Leslie D. Lim, CEO of LDL Group of Companies, said the complexities of the logistics industry demand forward-thinking solutions, prompting her company to integrate AI into its operations to stay ahead in a fast-changing sector.
With 25 years of experience in logistics, shipping, and customs brokerage, Lim said the industry remains unpredictable and constantly evolving.
“In logistics, any problem can come in at any time. The challenge is how you solve it,” Lim said. “AI is the future of business. You have to think ahead or risk being left behind.”
LDL partnered with Chek Technologies, using the company’s AI-powered platform to digitize and optimize core logistics functions. Lim said adopting AI is part of a broader commitment to sustainability and long-term operational resilience.
“My business principle is to always aim for sustainability,” she said. “It’s better to be the first than to be the best. If you’re the best today, someone can always overtake you tomorrow.”
Beyond logistics, Chek Technologies is also venturing into education technology (edtech) with ProGuro, an AI-powered school management system designed to assist teachers with lesson planning and data management.
ProGuro is designed to reduce administrative burdens on teachers by automating routine tasks and enabling real-time access to student data.
