Starbucks Philippines will offer a free single upsize on any handcrafted beverage to customers who show proof of voting in the national and local elections on May 12, the company announced.
Under the “Care to Vote” promotion, customers who present their index finger marked with indelible ink at any Starbucks store nationwide will be eligible for a complimentary upsize on their beverage purchase.
The offer is valid for dine-in, take-out, and drive-thru transactions only and applies to a maximum of two beverages per transaction.
The promotion will run for 24 hours, from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on election day, Starbucks said.
The offer excludes purchases made through delivery services or Mobile Order and Pay (MOP). Customers participating in the promo will continue to earn Starbucks Rewards Stars for the paid beverage and will be eligible for a PHP10 cup discount when using a personal cup or tumbler.
Senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) may avail of their applicable discounts alongside the promotion for personal consumption.
However, the free upsize cannot be combined with other offers, including Recovery Coupons, Pink Cards issued in Tagaytay City, Customer Voice Redemptions, or Starbucks free beverage rewards and birthday rewards.
“Every vote counts, and every cup can celebrate it,” Starbucks Philippines said in a statement, encouraging voter participation across the country.
The Philippines is set to hold national and local elections on May 12, with voters electing officials from the municipal to national levels.
The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has ramped up efforts to boost voter turnout, including partnerships with private sector groups.
