Starbucks Philippines is rolling out a revamped rewards program and a new mobile app beginning July 21, giving customers more flexibility in how they redeem loyalty points across a wider selection of food and beverages.
Under the new multi-tiered Starbucks Rewards program, members can redeem rewards starting at just 50 Stars, compared with the previous system where every 100 Stars were automatically converted into a voucher for a free drink, bakery item, or cake slice.
The updated rewards structure allows members to choose when and how to redeem their Stars through three reward levels.
At 50 Stars, members can enjoy a free drink customization or select bakery items such as a bagel, doughnut, or banana loaf. 100 Stars can be exchanged for any handcrafted beverage or bakery item, while 150 Stars can be redeemed for pasta, sandwiches, or cake slices.

The rewards overhaul coincides with the launch of the new Starbucks PH App, which will replace the existing application. The company said the app features faster sign-in and real-time Star tracking to make visits more convenient. Customers can download it from the Apple App Store and Google Play starting July 21.
Existing Starbucks Rewards members will not need to create new accounts, as login credentials, available stored value, and accumulated Stars will automatically transfer to the new app. Reward vouchers will continue to be valid for 90 days after redemption.
According to the company’s fact sheet, members will now have greater control over when they convert Stars into rewards, with redemption options expanded to cover nearly the entire Starbucks menu instead of a limited selection.
Starbucks Coffee Company operates more than 41,000 company-operated and licensed stores globally. In the Philippines, its licensed operator, Rustan Coffee Corporation, has grown the brand to more than 500 stores across over 68 cities since opening its first outlet in Makati in 1997.
