The 12th annual SM2SM Run in Cebu City achieved a remarkable milestone, drawing over 13,000 runners from across the Philippines on March 3.
This impressive attendance shatters the previous record of 9,500 participants, underscoring the event’s growing popularity among the running community.
Originating from the expansive grounds of SM Seaside City Cebu at the South Road Properties, the event offered runners a scenic route that included a pass through Plaza Independencia.
Depending on their chosen category, participants tackled different parts of the city, with 8K runners turning around at S. Osmena Street, 12K participants extending their run to SM City Cebu, and those in the 21K category pushing their limits all the way to Brgy. Banilad in Cebu City.
The SM2SM Run 12 lived up to its reputation for offering some of the most generous prizes in the Visayas region, distributing over 2 million pesos in cash and raffle prizes.
Among the coveted rewards were 12 Smart TVs, 12 smartphones, SM Gift Certificates, and a brand new Suzuki car as the grand prize, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition.
