The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is hosting the “Padayon Cebu: A Summit to Inspire, Promote & Grow MSMEs” on June 25-26, 2024, at the City Sports Club Cebu.
This event, part of Cebu Business Month (CBM) 2024, aims to foster growth and innovation among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The two-day summit brings together visionaries, industry experts, and policymakers to engage in business networking and knowledge exchange, highlighting the critical role MSMEs play in the Philippine economy.
According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, MSMEs constitute 99.58% of the country’s business enterprises and employ 63% of the workforce.
“We want more people to invest in continued learning, connect and network, grow and develop businesses, and ultimately give back to the community,” said CCCI President Jay Yuvallos.
Regan Rex King, Vice President for Cebu Business Mobilization and CBM 2024 Overall Chairman, emphasized the summit’s role as a knowledge-sharing platform dedicated to empowering local business leaders and communities.
Keynote speeches include insights from Bernie Liu, Group CEO and Chairman of LH Paragon Incorporated, on navigating growth from startup to industry giant; Emmanuel Samson, Cofounder and CEO of D’ Wallet Technologies Corp (dba DTaka), on blockchain basics in the digital economy; and Herbert Hernandez, Founding Partner of Gigil Group, on digital tools enhancing MSME competitiveness.
The summit also features “Fireside Chats” where local business legends share their journeys from MSMEs to corporate giants, panels on digital strategies for MSMEs, the importance of strategic HR, and innovative business tools.
Attendees will have opportunities to network and participate in interactive Q&A sessions. The event concludes with a session on funding perspectives, featuring insights from banks, venture capitalists, angel investors, and private equity professionals.
